It’s that time of year again – the time where designers look to Pantone to tell them what color is going to be showing up not only the graphic design world, but also in fashion, beauty, and home interiors. Pantone released Radiant Orchid as the color of the year. Choosing the right color of the year is a process Pantone does not take lightly. They spend quite a bit of time combing the world looking for color influences in entertainment, new artists, traveling, art, and many more industries. The annual color pertains to what representatives from national color standards groups believe the world needs in the year to come. For example, Pantone’s website says Radiant Orchid “blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple – one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, and health”
